FORT MCMURRAY, AB, CANADA, June 19, 2014 – Hungry oil sands workers, their families and others in Fort McMurray who want to fuel their appetites with big and juicy hamburgers, tasty wings, delectable chicken sandwiches, hearty breakfasts and other delicious choices will soon be able to do so at their very own co-branded Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express restaurant.
Opening next week, the new family-friendly restaurant occupies a prominent 2,400 sq. ft. end cap location in the Save-On-Foods Plaza at 8412 Franklin Avenue that has 62 seats for convenient dining in or taking out. The exciting décor blends 1950s burger joint kitsch with plenty of 21st century cool, including flat screen TVs. No wonder that TV, movie and sports celebrities often claim Fatburger as their favorite.
“On the heels of several highly successful openings in recent weeks, we are thrilled to make Fort McMurray the location of the newest addition to one of Canada’s fastest-growing and most popular chains,” said Frank Di Benedetto, the Fatburger franchisor for Canada, and CEO of Frankie’s Burger Enterprises and the Ricky’s All Day Grill chain.
Inside the new restaurant is a Buffalo’s Express, satisfying guests with a wide assortment of world-famous wings and tenders tossed in a choice of 13 signature sauce creations, ranging from mild to extra spicy, including tantalizing options like Asian Sesame, Honey Garlic, Coconut Jerk, and the aptly named Death Valley. Guests can even mix the signature sauces to create their own one-of-a-kind, flavorful wing experience, and enjoy them with salads, fries and other items.
Served until 4 PM daily, the all day breakfast special satisfies just about any appetite with three tasty options in L, XL and XXL portions. Each offers two eggs, cooked over easy or scrambled, with home-style hash browns and Texas toast. Order the large entrée and choose from two strips of maple bacon, or two breakfast sausage links, or two fluffy buttermilk pancakes. The XL lets you double up with two of the side order choices, or pick the XL and enjoy all three. Other options include assorted breakfast sandwiches and a grilled cinnamon bun. Wash it all down with orange juice, apple juice or coffee.
Made with fresh, never frozen, hand pressed, cooked-to-order AAA Canadian Alberta beef – the highest quality beef of any burger chain in Canada – Fatburgers can be enjoyed with all the usual condiments, plus many inspired choices such as chili, bacon, mushrooms, guacamole, jalapeños, an assortment of cheeses, and even a fried egg.
Fatburger accompaniments include fresh cooked, trans fat-free skin-on fries, sweet potato yam fries, homemade onion rings and a Caesar salad. Only the freshest produce, including hand-cut lettuce, centre-cut beefsteak tomatoes and fresh-cut onions, qualifies to be served at Fatburger.
For hungrier patrons, there’s a one-half-pound Kingburger, a three-quarter-pound Double Fatburger, and the baddest burger on the block – the Triple Kingburger. This monster of a burger features three patties (a pound and a half) of hand-pressed, specially seasoned Angus beef served on an artisan sesame seed bun with lettuce, deli dill pickles and your choice of four cheeses, plus tomato, onion, and any of our other popular toppings.
