Guests can now enjoy fresh cooked burgers, breakfast, wings and many other tasty options

Prince George, BC, June 26, 2019 – For more than a decade, Fatburger has been one of Canada’s fast-growing and most popular burger chains acclaimed for serving up award winning burgers, as well as Buffalo’s™ world-famous wings and tenders, and delicious breakfasts. And now Fatburger fans can now indulge their taste buds at the second Prince George location at 3167 Massey Drive at Pine Centre.

“We are delighted to open our second Fatburger in Prince George,” said Frank Di Benedetto, CEO, president and owner of the FDF Restaurant Brandz franchise system that includes the Fatburger Canada chain. “Pine Centre continues to be the local mall of choice and this location is a wonderful compliment to our original co-branded Fatburger on O’Grady Road.”

Fatburger traces its roots back to the 1950s in Los Angeles when the word fat meant cool or hip, but the size of burgers led to the distinctive name. “The name of the store was my idea. I wanted to get across the idea of a big burger with everything on it . . . a meal in itself,” said Fatburger founder Lovie Yancey.

In keeping with the Fatburger tradition, the new 30-seat location will feature an open kitchen, allowing guests to order at the counter and enjoy watching their meals being cooked-to-order. Convenient takeout service will also be available.

What makes Fatburger so special? Premium ingredients. Each and every burger starts with fresh, never frozen Alberta Angus beef. No additives, binders or fillers. Only the freshest produce, including hand-shredded lettuce and award winning centre-cut beefsteak tomatoes, qualify to be served on a Fatburger.

Fatburger’s inspired menu doesn’t stop there. Other delicious options include chicken sandwiches made with full-sized marinated chicken breasts, veggie burgers custom-made exclusively for Fatburger, and Buffalo’s™ World Famous Wings and Tenders. For those seeking a low-carb, gluten friendly treat, Fatburger offers the option to “Lettuce Wrap” your burger or sandwich.

To complement the chain’s burger selections and other entrees are its “best anywhere” milkshakes made with premium, hand-scooped ice cream.  In fact, Fatburger has six delicious shake flavours to choose from, plus a seasonal feature flavour.

Pine Centre is the second Fatburger in Prince George and the 55th Fatburger restaurant in Canada, with locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories. Fatburger Canada is Canadian owned and operated and is proud to serve Canadian ingredients.

About Fatburger Canada: In 1947 Lovie Yancey founded Fatburger under its original name Mr. Fatburger. In 1952, Yancey shed both her business partners and the “Mr.” from the name of the hamburger stand, and Fatburger was officially born. From the beginning, Yancey was a fixture at the original Fatburger, where customers, who included entertainers such as Redd Foxx and Ray Charles, could custom-order their burgers.

In 2005, the first Fatburger Canada opened in the popular English Bay area of Vancouver, BC. And while our roots are from California, Fatburger in Canada is Canadian owned and operated – and proud of it! The company is actively seeking new franchisees across Canada.
